Who we are
The Stroke Research Toolkit is provided by Doccol Corporation ("Doccol", "we"), 30 Eisenhower Drive, Sharon, MA 02067-2427, USA. Questions about this policy or your data: support@doccol.com or 1-888-481-0842.
In short
- You can browse the app and contact us without an account.
- Signing in uses your existing Doccol website account (doccol.com). The app does not create separate passwords.
- We collect only what the app needs to work, keep it on Doccol's own servers, and do not sell it.
- The app contains no third-party advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking tools. It may show announcements of Doccol's own products (for example a "New from Doccol" card on the home screen or a "New" label in the shop), which you can dismiss. Counts of how often these are seen or tapped stay in the app's own records.
- Notifications about new Doccol products are sent only if you switch them on (My account → Notifications); they are off by default.
- You can delete your app account at any time, in the app or on the web.
What we collect and why

Research Headlines are fetched from PubMed without any information about you.
Who else receives data
- Doccol's own systems: the doccol.com store (for sign-in, prices, quotes and orders) and Doccol's mail server (for contact messages).
- Expo and Google, which deliver app updates and, where you allow it, notifications. They receive technical data such as your device's app version, under their own privacy policies.
- We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Deleting your data
You can delete your app account in the app (My account → Delete my Stroke App account) or on the web at stroke-app.doccol.com/account/delete, including if you can no longer sign in. Deleting your app account:
- immediately deletes your app profile, sessions and anything you uploaded;
- keeps usage statistics and feedback only without any link to you;
- does not delete your Doccol website account, orders, quotes or invoices, which are Doccol business records. The deletion screen links to a request to close your website account too;
- cannot recall emails already sent (for example your contact messages to support).
Deleted data is removed from our backups within 30 days.
Security
All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Sign-in tokens are stored in your phone's secure storage and, on our server, in hashed or encrypted form. The app never stores your password.
Children
The app is a professional tool for laboratory researchers and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
This policy describes the app's current features. We will update it before adding features that handle new kinds of data — such as AI-assisted support, a community board, or an experiment log — and show the new effective date here.
