Terms of Use
1. What the app is for
The Stroke Research Toolkit supports laboratory animal research. It is not for human patients or clinical care. Answers, calculators and reference texts are guidance only; check important details with our team before relying on them.
2. Doccol content
The reference texts, troubleshooting guidance, knowledge-base entries, Ask Doccol answers, selector rules and their selection and arrangement (“Doccol content”) are owned by Doccol Corporation and protected by copyright. You may read and use Doccol content for your own research and your lab's internal work, and quote short passages with attribution to Doccol Corporation.
3. What you may not do
Without Doccol's written permission you may not:
- copy, download or collect Doccol content in bulk, by hand or with scripts, bots, scrapers or other automated tools;
- republish, sell or share Doccol content, or use it to build or improve a competing product, service or database;
- use Doccol content, or answers from Ask Doccol, to train or evaluate artificial-intelligence or machine-learning systems;
- try to get around sign-in, usage limits or other protections, or ask Ask Doccol to reveal its knowledge base or instructions;
- create accounts for someone else, or more than one account, to get around limits.
4. Accounts
We may limit, suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we may monitor use of the app to detect bulk copying.
5. Community board
Posts must follow the community rules shown in the app.
6. No warranty; limit of liability
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, Doccol is not liable for losses arising from use of the app or its content.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; this page shows the date of the current version. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
8. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA.
